About Us
The Hoppers Crossing Psychology clinic has grown out of the Sovereignty Christian Psychology practice, which began in 2009. In 2012 the clinic moved to its current site in Hoppers Crossing, Victoria. The clinic has expanded over time and currently has a strong basis of therapists, clients and referrers.
We truly believe that everyone has a right to quality care regardless of belief or background and have always welcomed clients of the Christian faith or other faiths, as well as those of no religious background or persuasion.
In 2024, Sovereignty Christian Psychology made the decision to split the practice in order to provide our holistic and individualised mental health care services under both Sovereignty Christian Psychology and Hoppers Crossing Psychology. This change was made in order to enable Sovereignty Christian Psychology to have a greater Christian focus and to enable both clients and clinicians to have a clearer choice on the provision of care.
Depending on the availability of services, our clients have the option to book with either one of our clinics.
Hoppers Crossing Psychology maintains a more secular focus, with clients from all faiths feeling more welcome to connect with us and come through our doors, so that they can the access mental health and well-being support they need from our highly trained psychology team.
Our aim is to assist people who are struggling with personal and/or mental health issues through counselling and psychotherapy within a safe space and a clinic environment that is both professional and ethical.

Boundaries of what is professional counselling
Professional Counselling has limits and boundaries that are important to maintain. There are many aspects of the person’s life that are important for individual and groups to participate in, that are largely inappropriate in professional counselling. Our ethos is to stick with the bounds of what is regarded as professional psychology.
